- I am indebted to local farmer Pat Woods, who talked to me for a couple of hours about local history, folklore, farming practices, politics, beer and sport and helped me get up some momentum for my exhibition research.
I hope he likes the painting. I think it would make a good cover picture if he ever decides to write his bestselling book The North Clare Farmer’s Survival Guide: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Irish Rural Life.
